It starts with one

Adonica Shaw is a 4x TEDx speaker, doula, student-midwife, and Integrative health coach. She is also the founder and CEO of Wingwomen and Wingwomen Technologies. She built the women’s health platform after experiencing a catastrophic health event. The experience was the catalyst for her journey from the hospital bed, to the boardroom where she now advocates for a number of women's health issues as a patient advocate turned founder.

In her millennial memoir, Will You Catch Me If I Fall?, Adonica Shaw delivers a deeply personal and poignant reflection on her path to self-reliance and transformation. As she confronts the challenges of motherhood, ethnicity, religion and spirtuality, and complex family dynamics, Adonica’s journey unfolds against the backdrop of a difficult pregnancy and unexpected life changes that force her to grapple with feelings of abandonment and uncertainty. In her transition from being highly accessible and visible in the public eye to becoming unseen in the role of a healthcare provider, Adonica discovers that this inner work—reparenting herself—is the rite of passage she needed before she could truly care for others.

Support Maternal Health Initiatives

Drawing on a previous Preeclampsia diagnosis, I serve on several panels that allow me to inform institutions and organizations on how to improve the patient experience for mothers navigating pregnancy and the fourth trimester.

Raise Awareness About Health Disparities

I work with several state and national organizations throughout the year to promote policies that improve health equity and address disparities that commonly impact low income families.

Provide Doula Services

I’m a DONA-trained doula and I can work in and out of hospital settings to support you during the prenatal, birth, or post partum phase of your pregnancy.

Adonica is an inspirational thought-leader whose real-life experiences led her to champion women’s health and wellness.
